Post care for your spray tan is imperative to the longevity of the spray tan. The better it’s cared for at home, the better and longer results you can enjoy. Hydrating the skin with Body Renew Moisturizer will help avoid dry, flaking skin fading your tan prematurely. Avoid exfoliation and shaving as long as possible. Using spray tan safe body washes and products. If you are a subscription tanner, be sure to prep for your next spray tan the same way each time. Exfoliating the top later of dead skin cells with the old spray tan, will help lay the foundation for your new one! We carry spray tan safe retail products that can be used daily and safely.

Book a Tan

24 hour skin prep is so important. Shave needed areas and exfoliate the skin to best prep your skin for deep tan penetration. Don’t forget to moisturize.

Prep Skin

Shower to remove any moisturizers, oils, or residue. Skip the body lotion, makeup and deodorant if possible to get sprayed on fresh, clean skin.

Day Of Service

Rapid or original solution, your spray tan needs to be rinsed at the appropriate time. Your spray tan artist will determine when to take your rise off shower. This shower is to remove the DHA and the bronzers. WATER ONLY. Save the spray safe body wash for the next one. Avoid exfoliation and give your spray tan 8-12 hours to continue developing. Don’t forget to moisturize with your spray safe lotion!

24 HOURS PRIOR

  • 48-24 hours before your spray tan appointment it is important to exfoliate your skin! Shaving is a form of exfoliating and needs to be done at this time. Like to get waxed instead? Book those appointments before hand.

  • yes, it Is okay to hydrate your skin after your 24 hour exfoliation session. If the skin cells are too dry, they can flake and slough off with the tan. Dry patches hold onto DHA more intensely.

  • It's important to shower day of to remove any deodorants, perfumes, skincare, makeup, lotions, etc off the skin. If you are working before hand, makeup remover wipes will be available to use. Avoid moisturizing after this step. Bare as a baby, baby.

  • Yes, the clothing you wear matters. Loose fitting and long sleeves are best. If your waist band is too tight, the tan might rub off in that area. If you wear shorts or short sleeves, sitting in cars, arm positions can transfer the tan off your skin. Refer to our instagram for ideal outfits. Think loose and more coverage.

Post Spray Tan

  • This RINSE ONLY shower is water only - to get the bronzer and remaining DHA off your skin. Do not use body washes, exfoliants or shower.

    → standard solution: rise 8 hours after spray tan

    → Rapid solutions: rinse when your spray tan artists has instructed you to. typically 2, 4, 6, 8 hours after spray tan

    Your tan will still be developing over 8-12 hour time period.

  • TIP: dab or blot to dry yourself off with a towel instead of rubbing.

    If you are an active person try our seat resistant formulas.

  • The better your skin is hydrated with the right products, the longer your tan will last! We carry a range of tan safe moisturizers, some containing extra DHA to keep your tan lasting as long as possible!

    Ask your artist for her recommendations for your skin type.

  • You won't see us recommending Dove soap here, why? Because its formula is stripping of essential skin oils and surface.

    Not all products are created equal and we have all the body washes, moisturizers and scrubs safe for your spray tan.

  • Yes you can get a spray tan while pregnant with protective garments. Wearing bikini or underwear will protect our sensitive areas - we have disposable underwear readily available!

  • Yes, expecting and breastfeeding mothers can get a spray tan with the proper protection. Wearing a bikini, or protective garments to protect sensitive areas and avoid exposure to solutions to babies.

  • Loose clothing!

  • yes, skin conditions can effect the outcome of a spray tan. Conditions like eczema or dermatitis, even a sun burn.

  • Spray tanning does NOT protect your skin from UV rays from the sun. You still need to wear appropriate level of SPF when exposed to the sun.
